Lodue Miah was born in the village of Lama Ishobphur, Osmani Nagar, Sylhet in Bangladesh. Lodue moved to Scunthorpe, South Humberside in 1973 where he studied until college. He later moved to the South-East of England and since 1982 has lived in the beautiful small town of Haslemere. Surrey. Lodue’s home village in Bangladesh holds a special place in his heart and inspires a lot of his famous sauce recipes.
About our company
Lodue’s three loves are his family, cooking, and supporting his communities. Lodue and his wife were married in 1978 in Bangladesh and have raised 6 successful children and 4 lovely grandchildren. Lodue is passionate about supporting his local community through sponsoring youth football teams, hosting free events for his loyal customer following for up to 500-600 guests every year since 1987! In 2019 he also opened an orphanage in his home village to home, feed, and educate 30 youths in Bangladesh.
Lodue established his restaurant career at the young age of 16 in Southampton, eventually opening his first restaurant in Lymington, New Forest. The success of the restaurant led to Lodue opening a further 8 restaurants across the UK with his brothers. The award-winning, highly acclaimed restaurant The Madhuban in Liss, Hampshire is home to the Honey Garden Sauces recipe.
One of Lodue’s sons, Mekail finished up his career as an Accountant in 2009 to join Madhuban, Honey Garden Sauces as the Managing Director. Mekail’s passion for his father’s business has enabled him to lead the business from strength to strength.
